Moving to Bangalore
By Gaurav Nardia • 01.AUG.2026
Recently, on 28 July, I moved to Bangalore for my job search. This is a city I've always wanted to visit, and now I'm finally here.
I came here specifically to find a software engineering job, and my goal is to get one within the next two months.
Before moving here, I was a little scared. I kept wondering what the city would be like and what kind of people I'd meet. But after arriving, all those worries disappeared. I genuinely love this city.
Right now, I'm staying in a PG, and I've made two really amazing friends here: Krishnapal (from Uttar Pradesh) and Ankon (from West Bengal). They're both wonderful people, and I genuinely enjoy talking with them.
I've visited many cities before, and whenever I move somewhere new, I usually miss home. But surprisingly, since moving to Bangalore, I haven't missed home even once. I don't know why, but this city already feels comforting.
The weather here is beautiful, and there are so many kind and welcoming people.
One funny coincidence is that the room I'm staying in is Room 308. Back when I lived in my college hostel in Gurgaon, my room number was also 308. It made me smile when I realized it.
The only thing that stresses me out is finding a job. I came here with a budget that will last me two months. If I don't get a job within that time, I'll have to go back home, and that's something I really don't want.
I've been reaching out to people for referrals and meeting new people whenever I can. Let's see how quickly I can land a job.
Even with all the uncertainty, I love this city. It gives me hope that I can build something meaningful here and create the life I've always wanted.
That's all I wanted to write about today.
See you in the next one. :)
