August 2026 - Bangalore

In the first week of August, I moved to Bangalore from Haryana with no job.

I came here with a budget of ₹40,000. I thought it would be enough, but Bangalore is 2X more expensive than I thought. It's been a month, and I only have ₹1 in my bank account.

Let me break down where all my money went:

• ₹11,000 PG rent
• ₹15,000 security deposit
• ₹8,000 credit card minimum amount due
• ₹3,700 train ticket
• ₹700 blanket
• ₹1,600 travel expenses

This is where all my money went :(

I thought I could spend at least 2–3 months with ₹40K, but it wasn't enough. Today, my parents sent me ₹6K, and I have to pay ₹16K rent (rent + split deposit + water/maintenance bill).

They said that they will send it in 1–2 days.

Here, I gave a lot of interviews for jobs. Last week, I gave 6 interviews at a startup. They are hiring a contract software engineer.

I've cleared all the interviews. They said that they would onboard me and give me an offer letter once they complete the V1 of the app. It will take a week or 10 days.

I'm waiting for the offer letter.

I'm a little relaxed and stressed at the same time. I hope they give me the offer letter. I'll be happy once I get the offer letter.

And last Thursday, I went to a tech meetup at the Metaforms AI office. I met a lot of incredible engineers and learned a lot of things.

That's how I spent my August. I hope they give me the offer letter.
